Founder and managing attorney of Wagner Pederson LLC, Lauren ("Laurie") is recognized for her extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of employment, securities, commodities, and business and complex litigation.

A seasoned attorney with 20 years of practice, Laurie mediates and serves as counsel to public pension funds, shareholders, companies, and investors in a broad range of litigation, mediation, and arbitration matters. In addition, Laurie is certified as an impartial hearing officer for the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH), Special Education Hearings Division, New York City.

Laurie has represented institutional investors and individuals in many high profile securities and commodities actions in state and federal courts, including actions involving Enron, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Tyco, Lehman Brothers, Qwest, McKesson HBOC, HealthSouth, Bank of America, Countrywide, IndyMac, Bear Stearns, Wachovia, Washington Mutual, Citigroup, Oxford Health Plans, LIBOR, and Foreign Exchange. In addition, she has litigated accounting and legal malpractice actions and has successfully argued and defended appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Eleventh Circuit.

Laurie served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Joel F. Dubina for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She also has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.

An advocate for teachers and children’s education rights, Laurie has served on leadership panels and committees for fundraising and event planning for schools; cub scouts; and a ski education foundation, which fosters alpine ski and snowboard youth athletic development, competition, and scholarship opportunities. Laurie is currently an active member of the Junior League of Philadelphia, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to promoting voluntarism and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
