RESULTS

  • In re Citigroup Inc. Securities Litig., 07-09901, S.D.N.Y. Deposed numerous C-level executives, CDO traders and risk management personnel in class action securities litigation to develop compelling evidence of securities fraud arising from CDO products and investments and recovered $590 million settlement.
  • In re: LIBOR-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litig., MDL 2262, S.D.N.Y. Represented Eurodollar futures investors in complex litigation arising from the alleged global conspiracy by the world’s largest banks to manipulate LIBOR. Collaborated with experts and a large team of attorneys to develop successful litigation strategy, which resulted in partial multi-million dollar settlements.
  • Managed Enron Corp. Securities Litigation brought by State of Ohio public pension funds and defended depositions of Chief Investment Officers, portfolio managers, analysts and pension fund officers in litigation arising from $100 million in losses.
  • Litigated ’33 Act and ’34 Act claims in securities class action arising from failed investments in Wachovia Corporation that recovered $590 million settlement for bondholders.
  • Litigated state and federal actions that resulted in $500 million settlement and landmark decision by Court of Appeal of the State of California reversing ruling that Plaintiffs’ claims against Countrywide Financial Corp. were precluded from state court by SLUSA.
  • Represented shareholders in Master Limited Partnership that were defrauded by undisclosed crude oil futures investments made by SemGroup Corp., resulting in $28 million settlement.
  • Recovered judgment at trial on behalf of Trust Company of the West in legal malpractice action arising out of $10 million international private-equity investment.
